Gadisar Lake

Gadisar Lake is one of the most famous and beautiful tourist attractions in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Built in the 14th century by Maharawal Gadsi Singh, this historic lake once served as the primary water source for the city. Surrounded by ancient temples, sandstone chhatris, and beautifully carved ghats, Gadisar Lake reflects the rich heritage and architectural beauty of Jaisalmer.

Bada Bagh

Bada Bagh, also known as Barabagh, is a historic garden complex located a few kilometers from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. It is famous for its royal cenotaphs (chhatris) built in memory of the Maharajas of Jaisalmer. Set against the vast Thar Desert, Bada Bagh showcases beautifully carved sandstone chhatris, reflecting the rich architectural heritage of the region.

Kuldhara

Kuldhara is a mysterious and historic abandoned village located about 18 kilometers from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Established in the 13th century, Kuldhara was once a prosperous village inhabited by the Paliwal Brahmins, known for their intelligence, advanced town planning, and water management systems. According to local legends, the villagers abandoned Kuldhara overnight to escape oppression, leaving the village deserted forever.

Golden Fort

Jaisalmer Fort, famously known as Sonar Quila (The Golden Fort), is one of the most magnificent and historically rich forts in India. Located in the heart of the Thar Desert in Rajasthan, the fort was built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal, the founder of Jaisalmer. Rising dramatically from the desert sands, the fort appears to glow like pure gold when sunlight falls on its yellow sandstone walls, creating a breathtaking sight—especially during sunrise and sunset.

Patwa Haveli

Patwa Haveli, also known as Patwon Ki Haveli, is one of the most iconic and architecturally magnificent havelis in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Located near Jaisalmer Fort, this grand complex is not a single haveli but a cluster of five beautifully crafted havelis, built between 1805 and 1860 by Guman Chand Patwa, a wealthy trader and banker of his time, and later completed by his sons.
